Learning Gravity Gets More Fun Through the Paper Roller Coaster Project

Science learning is often considered a complicated subject if only studied through theories in a book. However, as one of the elementary schools in Palembang that always prioritizes interactive and fun learning methods, Nusa Indah Elementary has a creative way to make Science concepts easier and more fun for children to understand. In this Science (IPAS) learning activity, under the guidance of the Science teacher, Ms. Yunita, students were invited to become "little engineers" through the Paper Roller Coaster making project. This hands-on learning project aims to demonstrate how the earth's gravity works, as well as the transfer of potential energy into kinetic energy. Using simple materials like paper, used cardboard, tape, and marbles, the students were challenged to design the best track. Enthusiastic faces and a high level of focus were seen from the students as they cut, folded, and connected each part of the track so the marble could glide smoothly from the highest point to the bottom end. Through this process, they not only learn about basic physics but also train their meticulousness, patience, and problem-solving skills when the tested marble actually jumps off the track or stops halfway. Applicative learning approaches that demand collaboration like this are what we continue to develop at school. Palembang, April 8, 2026 – A proud achievement has once again been carved by a student of Nusa Indah Elementary. As one of the schools in Palembang that continues to encourage the talents and creativity of its students, we are very proud to announce that Azalea Afshah Musfira has successfully received a painting exhibition certificate from our proud renowned artist, Kak Yos. This extraordinary achievement was achieved by Azalea at the "Colorful Culture of the Nation's Children Festival", a prestigious art exhibition organized collaboratively by Sanggar Kak Yos and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemenbud). Azalea's participation in this festival proves that an elementary school in Palembang can compete and show off in the fields of arts and culture, standing alongside other beautiful works at the national level.Her painting received direct appreciation from Kak Yos. Full support is always provided by Nusa Indah Elementary to every student who wants to develop their potential. Building a Digital Generation: ICT Learning and Introduction to Typing at Nusa Indah Elementary

Palembang, April 7, 2026 – In facing the increasingly rapid development of the digital era, computer technology mastery has become a basic skill that children must possess from an early age. Realizing this, Nusa Indah Elementary, as one of the elementary schools in Palembang that prioritizes educational innovation, routinely organizes ICT (Information and Communication Technology) learning programs for its students. In this ICT learning session, the material focus provided is the introduction and basic practice of typing. Students are taught good and correct typing techniques using laptops provided by the school. Honing 4th Grade Students' Creativity Through Fine Arts & Coloring Class

Holistic education does not only focus on academic achievement alone but also on the development of students' creativity and imagination. As one of the elementary schools in Palembang that highly prioritizes this balance, Nusa Indah Elementary routinely holds Arts and Craft activities, one of which is through the Fine Arts subject for 4th Grade students.In this activity, the students were challenged to color an illustration themed "Healthy Food" consisting of various vegetables and fruits such as broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, apples, avocados, and grapes. This coloring activity is not just an arena for playing with colors but has an important goal of training fine motor skills, meticulousness, patience, and children's sensitivity in blending colors (color grading).Cheerful faces full of pride could be seen from the children as they showed off their artwork. Their dedication paid off fully with very satisfactory scores from the guiding teacher. With full confidence, our proud sons and daughters showcased a variety of beautiful Islamic creativity on the main stage.This festive event featured various student talents, ranging from melodious nasyid chants, energetic tambourine dances, to adorable children's Muslim fashion shows. This outstanding performance drew awe and enthusiastic applause from the mall visitors in attendance.The Principal of Nusa Indah Elementary stated that this event is not merely a talent show, but a part of character education.
